This notice explains how VMT Solutions AS (“we”, “us”) processes personal data when you use the website vmtsol.no or contact us. Processing is carried out in accordance with the Norwegian Personal Data Act and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2.2 What data we process

When you submit a form on the website (contact, lighting, or product feedback), we may process:

• Name
• Email address
• Subject / category
• Message content and any technical details you choose to include

Please do not send sensitive personal data (for example health information) through the forms unless it is strictly necessary for your enquiry.

2.3 Purpose and legal basis

We use the data to:

• respond to enquiries and requests
• follow up on quotes, service, repair, or product development
• manage correspondence related to our business

The legal basis is GDPR Article 6(1)(b) (steps prior to entering into a contract, when the enquiry relates to our products or services) and/or Article 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest in answering requests and running the business). Where you voluntarily send feedback without an expectation of a contract, processing is based on legitimate interest or consent through submission.

2.4 Who receives the data

Form messages are delivered to our email via the email provider Resend (processor). The data may then be stored in our email solution (for example Google Workspace / Gmail) so we can follow up.

We do not sell personal data. Transfers outside the EEA may occur through providers; where that happens, it must be covered by a valid transfer mechanism (for example EU standard contractual clauses) at the provider.

2.5 Retention

Personal data in enquiries is kept only as long as needed to answer and follow up the matter, and is then deleted or anonymised when the purpose is fulfilled—unless longer retention is required by the Bookkeeping Act or other law, or is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.

2.6 Cookies

This website does not use tracking or marketing cookies. We therefore do not show a typical cookie consent banner. Strictly necessary technical functions for operating the site may be used without consent.

If we later introduce analytics tools that set cookies, this notice will be updated and consent will be obtained where the law requires it.

Within the framework of the Personal Data Act / GDPR, you have the right to:
